Penn Reaches Settlement in Gelsinger Affair
The University of Pennsylvania reached a settlement on Wednesday with U.S. Department of Justice to the tune of just over a half million dollars. Injunctions were handed down, limiting research by Jim Wilson, Steven Rapar, and Mark Batshaw.[Philadelphia Inquirer]

boy penn sure is putting heavy spin on the penalty - seems like a much more aggressive action than is made out in the Daily Pennsylvanian ... essentially this puts Penn in the worst possible position for doing gene therapy trials in terms of reputational harm. I'd say this is the real end of the Kelly era...
