Majikthise : Lies Terri Schiavo's Parents Told Me

Majikthise rants on the Schiavo case, with her usual rigor and clarity - what a great blog. This post by the way did thousands and thousands and thousands of visits today - more than either the MSNBC or CNN top line Schiavo stories. More evidence that the cutting edge in bioethics-related journalism and commentary is quickly transitioning to blogs - people just want better, more incisive, full discussion, no matter their political affiliation.

Is this blog in the habit of deleting posts without noting the deletion?

Is this blog in the habit of telling lies about the Schiavo case and then removing them, without noting the removal, hours later?
Is this blog in the habit of not understanding the facts, misstating the facts, removing the misstatements, and then citing the same misstated arguments elsewhere?
It appears the answer to each of these questions is yes.
What a disgusting performance. Is any of that "ethical"? Is this the state of bioethics today?

I'm not sure what Thomas is referring to...I would like to point out that blogger has been having some trouble the last couple of days, and that this site perhaps did not handle the traffic as well either --this may result in some incidential deletia. --BD

I noticed the same thing and thought I was loosing my mind!

Speaking of a disgusting performance, this from AP:
"Outside the hospice, the Rev. Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition said activists planned to try to enter the hospice Saturday morning 'to try to give Terri a cup of water.'"
I suppose the irony is lost on most: Were the Rev. Mahoney to actually try and give Schiavo a cup of water, she would almost certainly aspirate, potentially leading to cardiopulmonary arrest.
Apparently a commitment to the sanctity of life ends where the abundant sanctimoniousness of Rev. Mahoney begins.
