Is There an Ethicist in the House?

Yes. His name is Jonathan D. Moreno, and we've discussed his remarkable work on stem cells for the National Academies. In his new book from Indiana University Press he traces his own development from clinical ethics into policy, and alongside it the development of bioethics from roots in national security-oriented human experimentation.
