BMJ comes down hard on New England Journa for Vioxx Missteps

Matters concering conflict of interest and outside influence and what to do about them continue to bore away at biomedical science. In the recent JRSM a former editor of the BMJ takes the NEJM editor and board to task for dereliction of duty with respect to the Vigor study of Vioxx. It is not a pretty story.
