The evolution of blog.bioethics.net

graphic of an ape evolving into a blogger

So, we've done a bit of remodeling around here. We put some fresh paint on the walls and reorganized some of the closets. But the new look is just the beginning. Among the new features: a smoother commenting process, older posts organized by topic, and we're podcasting. It's all part of our effort to open up the journal and discussion of important bioethical issues to the curious public.

And there's even more to come in the next few weeks, including the addition of a compelling group of new bloggers. We're excited about what's next and we hope you are, too.

We very much welcome your thoughts. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, please send them along:

Its looking good, a nice overhaul making the blog more user friendly. I look forward to reading more.

I especially like the new banner.

A question: Would it be possible to put the main column in the center of the page, instead of on the left?

Don't know if this is related to the new changes but I thought I should point out that this post didn't turn up in your feedburner rss feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/bioethics
Perhaps it is just slowness on feedburner's part or something but I thought it was noteworthy just in case it indicated a problem caused by the changes.

Cheers
David

Eli:

Thanks for the suggestion about moving the main column to the center. It's definitely something to think about. We'll probably "live" in this design for the next month or so and then make adjustments. The middle column idea is on the list of considerations.

David:
Thanks for the heads-up about feedburner... the problem seems to have resolved itself. We appreciate you taking the time to point it out.

If anyone notices any bugs or just has suggestions, we look forward to hearing them.
